Black History Month Drum Workshops at Divine Mercy
Black History Month – February – Mr. R. Kingsmore visited Divine Mercy CES for Black History Month. He displayed various musical instruments to the students and included drumming lessons/workshops in the presentations. Students were excited and welcomed this experience of drumming and singing. The opportunity to play drums was an awesome one.

The Divine Mercy CES community enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Concert. The gymnasium was filled with families eager to share in the holiday spirit. All classes participated in the Christmas Concert. Students shared songs, skits and varying musical instruments. Thank you to all Concert committee members including Ms. Chew, Ms. Payne, Ms. Perricciolo, Ms. D’Orazio and Ms. Tonelli. Divine Mercy welcomed Santa in a special way. Catholic School Council members organized an evening of reading for students. The event culminated with the arrival of Santa. Everyone was very excited. Students took pictures with Santa. Social Committee c0-chairs and other members of Parent Council were on hand to ensure a wonderful evening for everyone in attendance. Each student received a treat.
The Divine Mercy CES community celebrated our Advent Mass with great joy and excitement led by our Celebrant, Father Ernie. The Mass was organized by Ms. Dirracolo and her Grade 3 class, Ms. Paolella and her Grade 1 class and Ms. Marcoccia.
